Ibanez

RG prestige

The Ibanez RG Prestige series models, introduced in 1987 and still thriving and evolving, are world famous for their characteristic thin, fast necks and hard-edged rock and metal tones. The RG Prestige models are now all made in Japan by Ibanez's finest luthiers, with Wizard necks with Prestige finishing, Edge Zero and Edge Pro bridges, and a broad range of intense pickups in different configurations. The RG Prestige series also includes seven and eight-string models.

RG tremolo

The RG Tremolo series includes many models with many different features and exciting finishes, but the one constant factor is the diabolical, double-locking Edge III bridge which allows for the most rad trem effects ever as well as total tuning stability. These trem-equipped guitars have ushered in a whole new way to play hard rock and metal and they continue to push the boundaries.

RG fixed

The RG Fixed series brings you the world’s premier metal axe – with the simplicity and sustain of a fixed bridge. These RG Fixed models, some with thru-necks, can take and dish out whatever vicious pounding they get – they are as stable as a rock. RG Fixed models represent the answer to many players' desires: the in-your-face sound of an RG without the double-locking hassle.

GRG

Similar to Ibanez's GRX series, the extremely affordable GRG models come equipped with big-time features, offering beginner guitarists an opportunity to own a guitar that won't become useless as playing ability improves. GRG models feature Powersound pickups in a hum/sing/hum configuration for massive tonal variation, a maple neck, basswood body, Fat 10 bridge and three different finishes. These guitars are set up and inspected just like the pricier Ibanez models and are ready to rock, right out of the box.

GRX

Ibanez's GRX series guitars feature basswood bodies, standard tremolos, Powersound humbucking pickups and metallic finishes. For the beginner guitarist who wants to spend a little and get a lot, the GRX series really satisfies. These guitars get the same thorough quality set-up as all Ibanez instruments and are ready to rock, right out of the box.

Ibanez Universe 7-String Re-Issue

It was 20 years ago when Steve Vai joined forces with Ibanez to produce his ultimate weapon, the 7-string Universe, the first production 7-string solid-body electric guitar. The groundbreaking Universe was quickly recognized as the "Most Innovative Guitar of the Year" by music retailers at the 1990 Music and Sound Awards.

Originally designed as a virtuoso shred machine, the guitar would have a new life later in the '90s with its extended low-end range making possible the new breed of rhythmic metal of heavy music players such as Korn and Dino Cazares. Ibanez is proud to recognize Steve Vai's achievement with the release of the new UV77RE Universe 20th Anniversary edition.

Like the original, the solid body UV77RE reissue is seven strings of fire, ready-made for maximum shred and some of the meanest riffing on the planet. The multi-color swirl motif arrives once again from the original Universe artist, Darren Johansen. Because of the swirl paint process each Universe guitar is uniquely individual in appearance. As with Ibanez's other Limited Edition Reissues such as the famous Bob Weir model, all UV77RE models are crafted in Japan by the same luthiers who created the originals.

1990 not only brought the Ibanez Universe guitar to the world, it also debuted Steve Vai's groundbreaking, earth shattering album, "Passion and Warfare," and each U77RE comes with a commemorative poster of this sonic masterpiece.

Only 100 UV77RE reissues will be available worldwide.
